Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pest Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and addressing pest infestations, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our clients, and upholding the high standards of our company. Key Responsibilities:

• Pest Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify pest issues, assess damage, and determine the most effective treatment methods.
• Pest Control Services: Apply pest control treatments, including but not limited to baiting, spraying, and trapping, in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Customer Service: Communicate clearly with clients to explain treatment plans, answer questions, and provide guidance on pest prevention strategies.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services provided, including treatment methods, pest identification, and follow-up requirements.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal safety equipment and pesticides.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all equipment and tools are well-maintained, clean, and in good working order.
• Sales and Upselling: Identify opportunities for additional services and promote company products and services to customers.
• Emergency Response: Respond to emergency pest control situations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. A college degree or formal training in pest management is a plus but not required.
• Experience: No previous experience is required and On-the-job training will be provided, however, previous experience in pest control or a related field is a plus.
• Certifications: No initial pest control certifications are required. Merino Pest Services will assist employees with necessary training.
• Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, bend over, crawl, and work in various environmental conditions.
• Prerequisites: Must have a valid NC driver’s license with no major driving infractions. Must pass drug testing and background check.
